CKL Engineers, LLC
As President/CEO, Ms. Whiteside develops and maintains client relationships for the firm. She directs all engineering and planning projects acquired by the organization and oversees the development of innovative project ideas for community areas in blight. Ms. Whiteside manages projects in the areas of civil engineering, aviation, public infrastructure, utilities and site development. She is a trained civil engineer and is licensed in the State of Illinois. Her capabilities are in field engineering, erosion control inspection, resident engineering, construction contract administration, planning studies, design plan development and utility coordination.
Ms. Whiteside is active in national political endeavors and local philanthropic causes. She was a 2016 presidential campaign fellow and formerly served as Board Member of St. Martin de Porres House of Hope, a substance abuse recovery home for women and children, in the Woodlawn Community in Chicago. She currently serves as a member of the Nominating Committee for the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago and hold memberships in City Club of Chicago and Women in Energy. Ms. Whiteside holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. She is a member of Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago.

ITS Engineering Ltd.
ITSE is an Illinois licensed Professional Engineering Corporation, founded in 2014 and certified as an Illinois Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.
ITS Engineering specializes in the Phase I and Phase II engineering of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and also provides ITS related technical support to Phase III engineering firms. The firm is a leader in the application of advanced sensor, display, computation and communications technologies such as vehicle detection, video systems, wireless communication, fiber optic networks, IP packet switched digital messaging, and Connected and Automated Vehicle technology. ITSE is the sub-consultant to call when forming a winning team for a PSB or PTB response where ITS expertise is required.
Its Principal, Darryl Dawson, is a licensed professional engineer with over 40 years of industry experience including over 20 years as a defense prime contractor. He is a published subject matter expert in the field of Connected and Automated Vehicle infrastructure for transportation agencies and has presented multiple technical papers at ITS America’s World Congress. His transportation industry experience includes systems design, advanced development and integration projects for the Federal Aviation Administration, the Chicago Transit Authority, and the Illinois Tollway, where he served as its “ITS Deployment Engineer” from 2010 to 2014. He earned a BS EE/CS from MIT, a MS in Technology Management from IIT and is a communications infrastructure and digital networking specialist. He has served as the Illinois Tollway’s MOA Manager for its Connected Vehicle Affiliated Test Bed Agreement with U.S. DOT since its execution in early 2014.
ITSE is a member of the national Vehicle to Infrastructure Deployment Coalition, and is currently reviewing the draft Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) V2I Deployment Guidance document and other deployment tools prior to public release.

Metra is geographically one of the largest commuter rail systems in the nation serving a six county region of more than 3,700 square miles. This complex system is comprised of 11 rail lines operating over more than 1,100 miles of track, 800 bridges, and 2,000 signals. Metra’s 241 stations, including five stations in the Chicago Central Business District, are served by 700 trains each weekday. As part of a regional transportation network, Metra provides safe, reliable, efficient commuter rail service that enhances the economic and environmental health of Northeast Illinois. Metra also overseas and maintains more than 400 station platforms and provides more than 90,000 parking spaces. Since 1985, Metra ridership has grown by 31.1 percent and train miles have increased by 32.3 percent.

Since 1982, GAI has assisted the City of Chicago, the Illinois Department of Transportation, various engineering firms, municipalities, and developers in lighting design, traffic signal design, environmental analyses and studies, intersection design studies, traffic studies and traffic counts, pavement and roadway design, drainage design, and surveying.
In the area of lighting design, traffic studies and traffic counts, traffic signals, and highway engineering, the firm has successfully completed projects both as a prime consultant and as a subconsultant for Illinois Department of Transportation, the City of Chicago, various municipalities, and for private developers.
